An Exceptional Estate at the Heart of Pomerol
Founded in 1872 by Henri Greloud, Château Lafleur quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious estates on the Pomerol plateau.
Since 1985, Jacques Guinaudeau, representing the fifth generation of the family, has led this legendary property alongside his wife Sylvie. Joined by the next generation in the 2000s, the family continues to pursue a winemaking philosophy rooted in precision, discretion and deep respect for the terroir.
Although the vineyard covers just 4.5 hectares in a single block, it encompasses three distinct soil types. The estate rests on a mosaic of terroirs—sandy clay gravel, clay-rich gravel and gravelly sand—which give Lafleur wines their remarkable complexity and depth. The vineyard composition, led by Bouchet (Cabernet Franc) alongside Merlot, is a key element of the estate’s unique identity.
Every step, from vineyard to cellar, is approached with the precision of a master craftsman. Château Lafleur stands apart through its artisanal philosophy, its constant pursuit of balance between power and finesse, and its outstanding capacity for ageing. A rare and confidential wine, it occupies a unique place among Bordeaux’s greatest estates.
