A different expression of the Lafleur vineyard

Created in 1987, Les Pensées de Lafleur were born from the desire to offer a complementary expression of Lafleur’s renowned terroir. Initially sourced from young vines, the selection evolved from the 2000 vintage onward to focus on a specific plot, defined by the nature of its soils.

This rare and sought-after cru is now crafted from a 0.7-hectare parcel located at the heart of the vineyard, along an East-West diagonal. The soils here are deeper, more clay-rich, and less gravelly than those found in the rest of the estate — a profile that is distinctly Pomerol.

In 2018, this cuvée was renamed Les Pensées, affirming its status as a cru in its own right. It reveals another facet of the estate, offering wines of great finesse, produced in very small quantities. Recognized among the great wines of the Pomerol plateau, Les Pensées captivate with their elegance and depth, while remaining true to the spirit of Lafleur.
