Château Haut-Bailly

La culture de la vigne à Haut-Bailly remonte au XVe siècle. À la fin du XIXe siècle, Alcide Bellot des Minières élève les vins de Haut-Bailly à un niveau qui avoisine celui des premiers crus, le nommant lui-même « Premier Cru Exceptionnel ». En 1955, le Domaine Haut-Bailly est repris par le négociant belge Daniel Sanders, qui le rénove, avant de le céder à son fils Jean Sanders qui élaborera une vingtaine de millésimes de grande classe. Depuis 1998, c’est l’Américain Robert Wilmers qui en est le propriétaire avec à sa tête Véronique Sanders, la petite-fille de Jean, et Gabriel Vialard à ses côtés en tant que directeur technique.
