Domaine Matthias et Emile Roblin

Located in Maimbray, a winegrowing hamlet of Sury-en-Vaux northwest of Sancerre, the Domaine Matthias et Émile Roblin continues a family tradition spanning four generations. Matthias took over the estate in 2000, joined by his brother Émile in 2006.
The vineyards are mainly planted with Sauvignon Blanc, the iconic grape of Sancerre, and Pinot Noir for red and rosé wines. The vines grow on clay-limestone and clay-loam soils, typical of the Sancerre terroir, which impart minerality and tension to the wines.
In the cellar, winemaking is careful and minimally interventionist: grape sorting, destemming, cold pre-fermentation maceration, temperature-controlled fermentations, and aging in stainless steel tanks or barrels depending on the cuvée. The wines faithfully express the authenticity and typicity of the Sancerre terroir.
