In 1633, a Basque aristocrat by the name of Sociando acquired the estate. Jean Gautreau bought the estate in 1969, succeeded by his daughter Sylvie in 2019. Perpetuating the family know-how, she continues to produce dense, elegant wines, a true tribute to the Médoc terroir.
