Distillerie Akkeshi

Founded in 2016, the Akkeshi distillery, located on the island of Hokkaido, is one of the few, along with the Yoichi distillery, to be able to settle on this nature reserve. Nicknamed Little Lagavulin for its Islay-inspired peated whiskies, it uses local ingredients to produce whiskies with a unique character, benefiting from a specific maturation environment. In 2020, it launched a series of 24 bottles, each representing a season of the Japanese 24 Sekki calendar, inspired by the ancient solar calendar. This niche distillery attracts connoisseurs in search of rarity and authenticity.
